Description:
June 21 is recognized as National Indigenous Peoples Day, a time to celebrate, reflect, and learn about the diverse cultures, languages, and histories of First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples across Tkaronto and all of Turtle Island. Join us for an interactive webinar exploring the Indigenous nations and communities that existed across Canada prior to European contact, with a focus on the Algonquin and Iroquoian peoples of the Great Lakes and St. Lawrence River region. This engaging session will include opportunities to answer Canadian citizenship questions and deepen participants’ understanding of the rich histories of these nations. This webinar is presented by the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority.
