YWCA Toronto is thrilled to join child care advocates, educators, and families in celebrating the extension of the $10aDay Child Care program through 2031.
This extension marks a significant victory for families and a progressive step towards making child care more affordable and accessible for everyone.
We thank the Ontario government for listening to the thousands of Ontarians who advocated for the Province to sign onto the extended $10aDay agreement with the federal government. This plan will provide much-needed stability to Ontario families, the child care sector, and our local economies.
As a local non-profit organization providing child care, we are committed to working alongside all levels of government to ensure every family has access to high-quality, accessible and affordable child care, which is critical for families to thrive.
Our advocacy will continue in our efforts to secure fair wages for all child care workers and the expansion of nonprofit and public child care spaces.
