Participants are invited to this information session to learn about the YWCA Health Connect program. Health Connect is an employment program that supports newcomer self-identified women pursue their healthcare credentials in Canada and transition into the Canadian healthcare system. It is designed to provide tailored support, catering to those just starting the credential recognition process as well as those seeking a residency or placement aligned with their pre-arrival expertise.
Eligible participants must:
• Be an internationally educated health professional (IEHP).
• Be a newcomer self-identified woman.
• Be a Landed Immigrant with valid status as: Permanent Resident of Canada, Protected Person/Convention Refugee, Open Work Permit Worker and Canadian Citizen (up to 10 years in Canada).
• Have previous experience in healthcare and a degree or diploma in healthcare-related studies.
• Be unemployed or underemployed and able to participate in daytime virtual workshops.
• Be legally eligible to work in Canada and living in Ontario.
