Description:
During this interactive 2-hour workshop, Mathura Mahendren will share some creative activities that can help participants explore and express the loss and change they may be experiencing or have experienced in their lives.
Grief is the full body’s normal and natural reaction to loss or change of any kind. Even if we are able to identify that we are grieving, it can be a complex and personal experience that is hard to explain. Artistic practices like watercolour painting and poetry can help us express the grief that is moving through our bodies, understand the emotions we are feeling around the loss or change and share this experience with other people.
In this session, Mathura will share examples of art that other people have created from their grief and participants will be guided to use watercolour paint and poetry to tell the stories of loss and change in their own lives.
This workshop will be held in-person at the JUMP Scarborough Office.
Please note that spaces are limited.
